ibis Bradford Shipley

Really well located near train station, opposite shops with Hungry Horse next door. Indoor bike store very welcome. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room well laid out and spacious. A couple of niggles - one side of the bed had a big dip in it, and the edges of the carpet were really dusty in places.

Pleasant comfortable twin room on walking holiday. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast good. Handy budget restaurant adjoining with good food. A hundred yards from canal so extremely convenient for canal walkers. Close to Shipley town centre pubs and station. Very pleased with it.

Lovely hotel, stayed there just for one night while seeing family up north. Me and my partner liked it, clean and fairly priced. The location was a bit bad as it's just in a clean air zone so if travelling by taxi you are going to get charged that little bit more. The breakfast was standard breakfast, would say it needs more variety though.

The rooms where all on the same floor as requested and fairly close to each other, the breakfast was well stocked and was great that it was available later. The rooms where lovely and comfortable. Hotel was well situated for what we required. The staff went above and beyond, especially when we where worried about being trapped by the snow, they were all friendly and very helpful.

The rooms are fine, TV had a big crack on it (plastic), and mirror surround broken, so presume some guests are not so kind as others, few shouting and swearing drunk late at night, but a good sleep. Breakfast was pre-paid, but was a big let down. Rubbish bacon, only scrambled egg, no fried eggs for dipping sausage or toast into. Toaster seemed to take forever and didn't always brown the bread. Had no jam for 2 days, as it didn't work, when I asked someone, they said no one had opened the (hidden) bit underneath, normally done by first person using it, but if you don't know it's there, it appears empty, maybe a notice or even the staff open it in readiness!! Premier Inn breakfast the day before, which was cheaper (and free child) was much much better, maybe the staff need to stay there 1 night to see how breakfast should be done, and this is the only reason we would consider somewhere different when visiting Shipley again.

Great service very nice ladies on arrival. Nice rooms great view from front n. Nice breakfast just help yourself lovely & clean furniture is getting little dated now but cleanliness made up for it . Been to new hotels & they have been filthy . Recommend & I would go again if in the area !

The rooms are basic but cleanliness was good. Lovely view of the canal from our window. Well located for food and retail outlets. Best selling point would have to be the staff. Very helpful, pleasant, friendly and welcoming. Food and beverages available on-site too.

Helpful and friendly staff facilitated a room move due to a small issue. Second room was fine - comfortable bed, clean, pleasant. Good location near the canal allowing good walks direct from the hotel in both directions. Wifi was fine. All good.
